Online Typing Practice

Once you have completed all of the lessons, skill building, practice exercises and tests in All The Right Type, you can continue to improve your speed and accuracy by using online typing practice.

Timed Typing Tests

After the first month of typing practice we will have regular typing tests in class. These will start from the easy level and become more difficult as semester progresses.

Final Typing Assessment

At the completion of this course, you will be given a final typing assessment. This assessment in pass/fail. If you exceed 30 wpm with 0 errors, you will pass. If you have more than 30 wpm with errors, each error will be directly subtracted from your wpm count. This means that a score of 35wpm with 5 or less errors would still be a passing grade. This test will be administered during the last week of classes.

Keyboarding Assessment

Your keyboarding mark with come from a combination of the Timed Typing Tests, your performance on the ATRT program and a Final Keyboarding Assessment (completed during the last week of class). The weighting is outline below:

ATRT - 50%
Timed Typing Tests - 30%
Final Typing Assessment - 20%
